About The Position

Neapco is hiring a Production Supervisor for its Manufacturing department at its plant in Belleville, Michigan. The position reports to the Director of Manufacturing. The supervisor supports production plans and scheduling, monitors production and equipment, and works to improve processes, quality, safety, and productivity. The role also involves communicating with and training team members, maintaining production and attendance records, and assisting with corrective actions and special projects. Compensation depends on qualifications.

Requirements

Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in the automotive industry.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, multitask, and apply problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead and motivate others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good technical and interpersonal skills for interfacing with customers.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure operator work assignments are completed fully and on time.
Implement production plans and assist with scheduling.
Improve processes and equipment functioning.
Assist with experimental projects during model changes.
Monitor machinery and equipment to ensure optimal production.
Communicate necessary information effectively to team members.
Eliminate waste through safety, quality, and production improvement initiatives.
Monitor quality documentation at each operation and ensure required checks are performed and documented.
Participate in corrective action activities.
Conduct training and team meetings, including stand-downs with supervisors, employees, and bargaining unit employees.
Complete daily production reporting activities.
Track and log time and attendance records for bargaining unit employees.
Complete special projects as assigned.
