About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of assigned line production staff, typically ranging from 20-65 employees. This role involves managing daily and weekly payroll time sheets, handling departmental paperwork such as attendance and vacation requests, and issuing disciplinary actions. The supervisor must be familiar with the machinery in their department, ensure the highest standards of product quality, and physically inspect products for defects. Compliance with all corporate safety and plant policies, maintaining personal hygiene and cleanliness according to GMP policies, and following packaging and labeling specifications are crucial. The role also requires identifying and reporting suspicious situations like product tampering, adulteration, unauthorized access to restricted areas, or equipment malfunctions that could affect product wholesomeness.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of leadership experience, preferably in a supervisory role in the poultry industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Demonstrated successful supervisory skills.
  • Demonstrated writing skills.
  • Demonstrated creative & effective problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computers & related software.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise assigned line production staff (approximately 20-65 employees).
  • Verify daily and weekly payroll time sheets for assigned employees.
  • Manage departmental paperwork including attendance, vacation requests, and disciplinary actions.
  • Prepare yield and production reports.
  • Ensure all product produced meets the highest standards of quality.
  • Physically inspect products for natural and processing defects.
  • Comply with all written corporate safety and plant policies.
  • Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
  • Follow written specifications for packaging and labeling of products.
  • Identify and report suspicious situations to immediate supervisor or plant management.
