About The Position

The Production Supervisor assists the Production Manager in meeting the set goals of the President/CEO in manufacturing quality PVC pipe at the lowest costs along with overseeing and developing staff performance.

Requirements

Experience in PVC pipe manufacturing.
Knowledge of line startup and operations.
Familiarity with changeovers.
Understanding of quality control principles.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment.
Skills in staff training and development.
Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
Ability to monitor production activities.
Experience in evaluating pipe quality and extruder conditions.
Ability to ensure efficient production with minimal scrap rate.
Knowledge of weight compliance for PVC pipe.

Responsibilities

Oversee and train staff in the manufacture of PVC pipe to include line startup and operations, changeovers, and ensuring a quality product.
Comply and ensure all personnel follow safety and company policies and procedures in all areas of the facility.
Troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimum product quality and efficiency.
Train, oversee, and continue development of staff and overall production performance.
Monitor production activities in the absence of the Production Manager.
Conduct daily walk-thru to evaluate pipe quality, extruder conditions, and cleanup.
Ensure production runs efficiently with minimal scrap rate.
Ensure PVC pipe is weight compliant.
Achieve monthly production goal set by President/CEO.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
