About The Position
The Production Supervisor will manage, participate in, and adhere to the company's safety and environmental programs. This role is responsible for identifying and initiating actions to prevent non-conformities related to product or process. The supervisor will oversee the loading of raw materials, as well as the distribution of finished goods, materials by rail and truck. The position requires the ability to work rotating shifts.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in a technical discipline
- 5+ years direct production supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong material management skills with focus on quality, safety, environmental matters, process & people
- Must be results driven & a self-starter
- Prior union workplace experience
- Good solid management skills with strong interpersonal/people skills
- Positive & proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions as required
- Easily understands & follow directions
- Detail & process oriented with strong problem resolution abilities
- Computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor Degree preferred
- Industry background in manufacturing related to mining, paper mills, steel plants, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants, etc., highly preferred
Responsibilities

- Oversee the loading of raw materials into the operation
- Oversee shipments Distribution of finished goods, materials by rail and truck
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts
