We are currently seeking a 1st shift Production Supervisor for our metals stamping division located in New Hope, MN. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Four-Year College or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years experience supervising production and employees in the sheet metal industry.
  • 5+ years manufacturing experience in sheet metal industry.
  • Ability to lead, make decisions for the business.

Nice To Haves

  • Master Cam, Gibbs or Solidworks programming experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct employees within the stamping plant to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production of metal components.
  • Oversee daily operations.
  • Provide training and support to production staff.
  • Coordinate workflow through department leads.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to meet production goals, maintain safety standards, improve processes, and ensure customer requirements are achieved.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines in order to meet production needs.
  • Utilize a strong understanding of blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing interpretation to build products to specifications.
  • Adjust machine feed and speed and changes cutters to machine parts according to specifications, as needed.
  • Conduct programming at the machine - Master Cam, Gibbs or Solidworks preferred.
  • Assist in and train employees on the set-up CNC lathes, multi-axis lathes and vertical milling machines.
  • Consult with engineering to modify jobs and improve production and quality of products.
  • Ensure that all aspects of plant operations are as efficient as possible.
  • Comply with the requirements of the ISO Quality Management System and departmental procedures, and work-instructions.
  • Complete prompt, thorough and high-quality incident investigations that identify root causes and corrective actions are completed for all incidents and injuries.
  • Must have a metal stamping manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of stamping operations, production scheduling, quality standards, safety requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
