In this role, you will lead the safe, efficient, and continuous production of polymer operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. You will drive performance by aligning people, processes, and priorities—ensuring production goals, safety standards, and quality expectations are consistently met. As a key leader on site, you will influence operational excellence through team development, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or related industrial environment
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or people leadership experience
  • Working knowledge of production processes, equipment, and industrial safety practices
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and production or maintenance planning tools
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • technical or post-secondary education preferred
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing or similar process-driven operations preferred
  • Experience working in a unionized environment and applying collective bargaining agreements preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct unionized production teams to safely execute daily and long-term production plans
  • Coordinate closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to ensure reliable and efficient plant performance
  • Monitor operational metrics and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps
  • Champion safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost performance
  • Plan and manage raw material usage and inventory to support production execution
  • Establish priorities for maintenance activities and support turnaround planning
  • Coach, develop, and support team members while managing staffing, performance, and labor relations within a union environment
