American Trim has multiple manufacturing locations and is the industry leader in forming and decorating metal products, working to develop and market breakthrough ideas and product concepts that improve the aesthetics, performance and enjoyment of products that can be found in every business, household, and vehicle system. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. American Trim does not anticipated providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-18 status).

Requirements

  • Supervise the activities in the respective manufacturing department to produce quality parts while maintaining production goals and providing a safe work environment.
  • Assign trained employees to jobs while assuring that all raw materials, changeovers, production schedules and work instructions are available and completed in a timely manner.
  • Assure that employees are cross-trained in all pay grade jobs in performance, quality checks, process checks, charting, safety and quantity checks to provide flexibility in job assignments.
  • Monitor the performance of employees and equipment during the operation of the shift to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Mentor employees with timely evaluations, rewards, discipline and counseling to help them realize their full potential.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards and provide necessary safety equipment, monitoring its use to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees by following company policies and procedures for uniform application across multiple facilities.
  • Provide and receive status reports from previous and following shifts on production, scrap, and quality issues to ensure continuity of production.
  • Assist in conflict resolution by encouraging employees to utilize the open door policy and guiding them through the process.
  • Directly supervise hourly employees in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Perform responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
