About The Position

The Production Supervisor will provide direct supervision for assigned line production staff, overseeing approximately 50-90 team members. This role is responsible for verifying daily and weekly payroll time sheets, managing departmental paperwork including attendance, vacation requests, and disciplinary actions, and ensuring accurate yield and production reporting. The supervisor must be familiar with the machinery and processes within their department, ensuring the highest standards of product quality and inspecting products for defects. Effective communication with team members, fellow supervisors, and managers is crucial, as is proactively assisting team members and identifying process improvements. Compliance with all corporate safety and plant policies, maintaining personal hygiene and cleanliness according to GMP policies, and adhering to packaging and labeling specifications are essential. The supervisor must also identify and report suspicious situations such as product tampering, adulteration, unauthorized access to restricted areas, or equipment malfunctions that could compromise product wholesomeness. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years leadership experience, preferably in a supervisory role in the poultry industry.
  • Ability to multi-task & set priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision for assigned line production staff (approximately 50-90).

  • Manage daily & weekly paperwork such as attendance, vacation requests, disciplinary actions, yield & production reporting.
  • Ensure all product produced meets the highest level & standard of quality.
  • Physically inspect products for both natural occurring & processing defects.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, fellow supervisors, & managers.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to help fellow team members and improve processes.
  • Comply with all written Corporate safety & plant policies.
  • Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene & cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
  • Follow written specifications for packaging & labeling of products.
  • Identify & report any suspicious situations to immediate supervisor or plant management official.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
