The Production Supervisor is responsible for executing business processes such as maintaining production rates, adhering to policy and procedures, and executing action plans tied to manufacturing strategies. This role involves performance management of direct reports, including one-on-ones, managing training schedules, probationary reviews, level advancements, development plans, and disciplinary documentation. The supervisor communicates business priorities, strategy, and information to the team and other functional areas through various meetings. Ensuring a sustained safety and quality culture is paramount, as is managing and maintaining staffing for full-time and temporary associates. The supervisor is accountable for metrics tied to their work center scorecard, ensuring accuracy of shift data (output, labor waste, downtime), and building familiarity with converting equipment to guide associates with troubleshooting. Other duties include ensuring work orders are properly closed, investigating and documenting accident reports and near miss opportunities, and filling in for the Asset Leader when necessary. Associates in this role are expected to demonstrate commitment to Rockline’s RRITE Values and ensure all work is performed safely. This position is designated as Safety-Sensitive, meaning an associate’s impaired ability could pose a direct threat to safety.
