About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of manufacturing activities in one or more production areas, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met while managing a budget. This position reports to the Value Stream Manager. It is part of the Assembly Operations department located in Indianapolis, IN, and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Leading and building a strong team, including decisions on hiring and firing. Train associates on standard manufacturing processes and ensure goals are met for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC), while promoting continuous improvement. Prioritize production schedules based on customer needs, equipment performance, staff efficiency, material availability, and business goals. Coordinating with different teams is essential to ensure on-time product delivery. Identify areas that need improvement to make systems work effectively. Regularly assess associate performance, provide feedback, and complete annual performance reviews and the compensation process while following company policies and ensuring they are implemented across the team. Manage your area's budget, including labor, production, maintenance, supplies, tooling, and fixtures. Suggesting budget changes for capital expenses and labor costs, developing work schedules, and supervising skilled and semi-skilled staff

Requirements

  • High school degree with 8+ years’ experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Work well in fast-paced environments and have a strong sense of urgency while adapting to changes in responsibilities based on business needs.
  • Open to working any assigned shift.
  • Self-motivated and can inspire others with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to set performance expectations and address sensitive issues.
  • Problem-solving skills to improve organizational performance.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft programs like Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
