The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of 15 to 25 operators within a specific shift, ensuring that quality, cost, and delivery indicators meet customer expectations. This role involves defining QCDP targets, monitoring performance, managing resources, and implementing corrective actions to address any issues. The supervisor is expected to drive continuous improvement by fostering teamwork, leading problem-solving activities, and encouraging the generation and implementation of improvement ideas. A significant portion of the supervisor's time (70%) should be dedicated to improvement actions. They are also responsible for daily management, maintaining a presence on the shop floor, managing headcount, coaching GAP Leaders and team members, ensuring discipline, and upholding safety instructions and policies. Additionally, the role involves people development, including participation in recruitment, induction, training, performance interviews, and planning for employee development and recognition. The supervisor must also ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) rules and regulations, with the authority to stop a line if safety risks are identified. Teamwork and communication are crucial, requiring transparent communication with management and internal customers, ensuring smooth shift handovers, and actively participating in team meetings and performance reporting.
