About The Position

We are AUTOKINITON (pronounced auto-ken-i-TAHN), a Tier 1 supplier with a legacy of manufacturing propulsion-agnostic, structural automotive components and assemblies globally. We offer 100% vertical integration capabilities, including end-to-end engineering, manufacturing, and in-house logistics. We are seeking a motivated 1st Shift Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team and drive operational excellence.

Requirements

  • A floor-focused leader who can earn the respect of the team while maintaining high expectations.
  • At least five years of previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong people leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving production environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive stamping, metal forming, press operations, or similar high-volume manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support hourly production associates in a high-volume stamping operation.
  • Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and performance.
  • Coordinate daily production priorities, manpower, press assignments, and workflow.
  • Monitor production performance and respond quickly to downtime, quality concerns, and other operational issues.
  • Partner closely with Quality, Maintenance, Tool & Die, Materials, Safety, and HR.
  • Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate production goals and priorities.
  • Coach, train, and develop associates while recognizing strong performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scrap, downtime, and overall performance.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed.
  • Build a positive, accountable work environment where employees understand how their work contributes to the success of the plant.
