About The Position

The Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift role at our Johns Creek, Georgia, site is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in people development and operational excellence. You will lead production teams, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality medical products while building strong teams and advancing your leadership career. This role is fully on-site at our Johns Creek, Georgia, facility and requires working 2nd shift hours (3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.). Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including direct responsibility for daily operations, safety, quality, and performance outcomes.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in direct people leadership, with formal supervisory responsibility for front-line employees, including performance management, coaching, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a regulated quality system (e.g., GMP, FDA, ISO, or equivalent), including adherence to standard work and documentation requirements.
  • Experience using production performance metrics (e.g., safety, quality, delivery, cost), tiered daily management, visual management, or equivalent systems to monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift hours (3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.) and independently lead evening operations, including issue escalation and shift-to-shift handoff.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the medical device or life sciences industry.
  • Prior exposure to manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP/MES systems, electronic batch records, deviation or investigation tools).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive outcomes across functions without direct authority, supported by examples of cross-functional collaboration or issue resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support production associates during 2nd shift operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of daily production plans in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Own end-to-end shift execution, including real-time staffing decisions, production flow, and issue escalation during off-hour operations when site resources may be limited.
  • Ensure compliance with the Boston Scientific Quality System by reinforcing standard work, documentation accuracy, and GMP requirements across the shift.
  • Monitor performance using tiered daily management, shift metrics, and visual controls; identify gaps and take timely corrective action to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Coach and develop associates through on-the-floor engagement, feedback, and performance management, building capability and engagement across the evening workforce.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (quality, engineering, maintenance, training) to troubleshoot issues, support investigations, and ensure effective shift-to-shift communication and handoffs.
  • Drive continuous improvement by leading problem-solving activities, supporting lean initiatives, and sustaining operational and engagement improvements during 2nd shift.
  • Ensure thorough shift transition by documenting key events, decisions, and actions to support seamless handoff to 1st shift leadership.
