About The Position

Delta Star Inc. is seeking a motivated and results‑driven Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for managing personnel, materials, equipment, and production schedules while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. As a Production Supervisor, you’ll oversee a team of production employees, ensuring work is completed according to safety, quality, delivery, and performance expectations. You’ll coordinate resources, execute production plans, develop employees, and remove barriers that impact productivity. Working closely with Production Management and cross‑functional teams, you’ll help drive continuous improvement and support Delta Star’s commitment to operational excellence. Your day may begin with reviewing production schedules, staffing levels, and operational priorities. Throughout the shift, you’ll monitor workflow, address production challenges, coach employees, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. You’ll collaborate with leadership, maintenance, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and maintain production targets. You’ll also track key performance metrics, support employee development, and communicate priorities to keep the team focused and engaged.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience supervising employees in a manufacturing environment (union and/or non‑union).
  • Demonstrated experience solving complex manufacturing and operational challenges.
  • Proven track record of accountability, attention to detail, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Experience working in fast‑paced production environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production systems.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and continuous improvement principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to translate long‑range production plans into actionable daily and weekly priorities.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, team‑based environment.
  • Moderate computer proficiency and familiarity with production reporting systems.
  • Self‑motivated with a high level of accountability and ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a medium to large team of employees engaged in manufacturing and production operations.
  • Ensure the effective utilization of personnel, materials, equipment, and resources.
  • Execute production schedules and meet operational goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Maintain compliance with quality standards, procedures, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Enforce workplace safety standards and promote a clean, organized work environment.
  • Keep management informed of operational developments, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with employees, management, and union representatives where applicable.
  • Administer and support compliance with local labor agreements when applicable.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop employees to maximize engagement and performance.
  • Hold employees accountable to established standards, expectations, and company policies.
  • Empower team members to identify improvements and eliminate operational constraints.
  • Support current and future assembly and fabrication processes through employee engagement and process improvement efforts.
  • Reduce waste by identifying value‑added activities and eliminating non‑value‑added work.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and efficiency metrics and implement improvements as needed.
  • Drive accountability and continuous improvement throughout the production team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
