The Clemens Food Group•Hatfield, PA
•Onsite

About The Position

Clemens Food Group is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to help prepare for and lead a new Ready-to-Eat production department at our Hatfield Main facility. This new operation will produce fully cooked sausage and is part of a significant expansion of our Hatfield campus. The production line is expected to launch in April 2027. The selected supervisor will join the team ahead of startup, spend time learning from our established Ready-to-Eat operation at Hatfield North, and help prepare the new department for a safe and successful launch. This is an opportunity to do more than inherit an established production area. You will help introduce new processes, establish operating expectations, develop the team, and guide the department from startup through stable, efficient daily production.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of direct Ready-to-Eat food manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with fully cooked production processes, including cooking, chilling, stabilization, and post-lethality food safety controls.
  • Previous manufacturing leadership experience overseeing people, production performance, food safety, and operational KPIs.
  • A hands-on, solutions-oriented leadership style with strong process-management and continuous improvement skills.
  • Direct Ready-to-Eat manufacturing experience is required for this position. Candidates whose food manufacturing experience is limited to fresh or raw production environments should demonstrate additional experience with fully cooked processes, food safety controls, and post-lethality handling.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience launching or stabilizing a new production line or department is strongly preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Help prepare, launch, and stabilize the new production line, including establishing operating procedures, training expectations, and performance routines.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production team members while maintaining a strong presence on the manufacturing floor.
  • Oversee product flow from raw material through cooking, chilling, stabilization, and finished product handling.
  • Own performance across safety, food safety, quality, service, yield, labor efficiency, uptime, and productivity while ensuring compliance with HACCP, SQF, GMP, USDA, and company standards.
  • Identify performance gaps, resolve production issues, and implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Partner with Food Safety and Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain, and other teams to support startup and ongoing production.
