About The Position

Eaton’s GEIS division is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and direction to employees. In this role you will manage the performance of safety & the environment, quality, on time delivery, and cost for the respective area. This position will be responsible for collaborating with other functional leaders and managers to optimize the entire product line to exceed the needs of the customer, by way of their commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED from Accredited institution.
Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment OR 3 or more years of military leadership experience
Flexibility for rotating weekends as needed

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution

Responsibilities

Drive, implement, promote, and maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention, equipment maintenance, while fostering our I Own Safety policies.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standard work processes are followed, countermeasures implemented towards becoming a lean organization to eliminate waste.
Function as a business partner by planning, initiating, leading, measuring, monitoring, and assessing continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements by applying appropriate Eaton Business System (EBS) processes and problem-solving tools such as Standard Work and 5S.
Monitor control plans, troubleshoot workmanship problems, and supervise production activities to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed established quality requirements.
Develop and establish manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule and monitor employee work requirements to meet customer deadlines.
Monitor quality of work-in-process and ensure adherence to Eaton’s Quality Policy and procedures.
Collaboration through cross functional responsibilities in planning and distribution to meet operational deliverables.
Manage and promote a positive team environment through various strategies such as performance recognition, coaching for improvement, and development.
Utilize inventory management system to measure inventory levels, diagnose order completions, and monitor earned hours.
Assist in the recruitment, selection, promotion, motivating, and counseling of employees.
