About The Position

Responsible for supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment, including training, coaching, and developing employees to achieve operational performance. This role involves supporting area leaders, acting as a liaison between functional areas, monitoring work schedules, adjusting workflows, and ensuring the delivery of quality products. The position also includes developing and implementing production training programs, supporting process improvements for increased efficiency, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives like SPQDC, Flow, SMED, EPEI, 5S, and problem-solving. The ability to capture performance data to achieve necessary KPIs is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or technical field OR 4+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior leadership experience leading, developing, training, and coaching employees on performance.
Experience with continuous improvement programs such as SPQDC, Flow, SMED, EPEI, 5S and problem solving.
Experience in statistical data interpretation and analysis (e.g., SPC).
Proficient in MS Office applications, ADP, SAP and or other ERP systems.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

Experience with high-automated production processes (preferred for pet food).
German language speaking skills is another advantage.

Leads, trains, delegates, coaches, and motivates employees within the department.

Organizes work shifts ensuring adequate team member coverage and resources to meet customer needs.
