About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production schedules, making decisions regarding inventory and staffing, and ensuring work procedures are followed efficiently. This role involves coordinating production activities, implementing tracking and quality control systems, and preparing production reports. The supervisor will also assist with staff hiring, training, and evaluation, and ensure product quality standards are met. Additionally, they will coordinate maintenance and modification procedures for facilities and equipment.

Requirements

Experience in reviewing processing schedules or production orders.
Ability to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments.
Experience in directing or coordinating production, processing, distribution, or marketing activities.
Ability to develop or implement production tracking or quality control systems.
Experience in analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports.
Ability to assist in hiring, training, evaluating, or discharging of staff or resolving personnel grievances.
Experience in preparing and maintaining production reports or personnel records.
Ability to set and monitor product standards.
Experience in examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing.
Ability to initiate or coordinate inventory or cost control programs.
Experience in coordinating or recommending procedures for facility or equipment maintenance or modification.
Ability to communicate with Supervisors, peers, or subordinates.
Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality.
Willingness to learn all manual tasks performed within the department.
Ability to perform tasks assigned using specific operating procedures.
Ability to follow department specific quality control processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

Review processing schedules or production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
Direct or coordinate production, processing, distribution, or marketing activities of industrial organizations.
Develop or implement production tracking or quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports, to detect production problems.
Assist in the hiring, training, evaluating, or discharging of staff or resolving personnel grievances.
Prepare and maintain production reports or personnel records.
Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
Initiate or coordinate inventory or cost control programs.
Coordinate or recommend procedures for facility or equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
Communicate with Supervisors, peers, or subordinates: provide information to supervisors and co-workers in written form or in person.
Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality.
Learn all manual tasks performed within the department.
Perform tasks assigned using specific operating procedures, and following department specific quality control processes and procedures.
