The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Production Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Leading the day-to-day operations of a production shift at 3M Springfield providing direct supervision to production employees such as Operators, Lead Operators, and Trainers Implementing and managing daily improvements to meet business Safety, Quality, Service and Cost Goals Determining priorities and assigning responsibility to meet customer needs in a safe manner Creating an atmosphere of fairness, employee engagement and accountability Developing the crew personnel to prepare them for future career opportunities or additional responsibilities Flexibility to work on any shift as business needs require

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a union environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
  • Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
  • Failure to provide the necessary information in this regard will result in our inability to consider you further for this particular position.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: chemical operations, extrusion, coating or converting
  • 5+ years manufacturing experience in a Union environment
  • Experience using Lean Manufacturing tools
  • Experience with shipping, receiving and warehouse operations
  • Flexibility to work any shift
