About The Position

Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers. Ensures the safety of all employees by following and enforcing all safety requirements and promotes safety improvement activities within responsible areas/departments. Improves the quality of the product to customer requirements and promotes continuous improvement activities. Ensures that all employees are qualified to operate manufacturing equipment and comprehensive cross-training plans are developed and implemented. Leads minor and supports complex continuous improvement projects. Ensures that calibration and PM schedules are met. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments and promotes continuous improvement to operational efficiencies. Directly supervises direct non-exempt employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Follows company and departmental principles, rules, guidelines, etc. with regards to health and safety, ISO/IATF requirements, Lean manufacturing principles, and good housekeeping. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 2 to 5 years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Regularly required to see, talk and listen.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
• Must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass background checks and drug screenings.
