Requirements

Associate’s degree
minimum 5 years Supervisory experience
Mechanical abilities required
Must be a “U.S. Person” (per ITAR 120.15) and are required to show proof substantiating this upon being hired.

Metal Casting and or extrusion experience a plus

Responsibilities

Manage and develop employees
Train the employees on procedures within the department
Manage continual improvement
Maintain the department with a “5S” philosophy
Reduce/eliminate scrap
Assist maintenance with maintaining equipment
Establish intervals of tooling repair/cleaning
Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
Confers with management team on setting and adjusting production schedules.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces policies and safety regulations.
Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Examines/Inspects materials and products at various stages of processing for conformance to specifications.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains time and production records.
Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
