About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for executing business processes, including maintaining production rates, adhering to policies and procedures, and implementing action plans tied to manufacturing strategies. This role involves performance management of direct reports, including one-on-ones, managing training schedules, probationary reviews, level advancements, development plans, and disciplinary documentation. The supervisor will communicate business priorities, strategy, and information to the team and other functional areas through various channels such as emails, Process Based Leadership meetings, or daily start-up meetings. A key aspect of the role is ensuring a sustained safety and quality culture, managing staffing levels for full-time and temporary associates, and being accountable for metrics on their work center scorecard. The supervisor must ensure the accuracy of shift data, including output, labor waste, and downtime. They will also build familiarity with converting equipment to guide associates in troubleshooting and problem-solving, ensure work orders are properly closed with accurate hour and quantity entries, and investigate/document accident reports in coordination with the Safety Coordinator, as well as document near-miss opportunities. This position may also fill in for the Asset Leader in their absence. The role requires demonstrating commitment to Rockline’s RRITE Values (Renew, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence) and understanding that associates have a direct and important role in ensuring all work is performed safely. Contributing to a cooperative working effort by performing other job-related tasks as needed is also expected. This position is designated as a Safety-Sensitive role, meaning an associate's inability or impaired ability to perform their job-related tasks could result in a direct threat to their safety or the safety of others.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, verbal, written, analytical, mathematical, reasoning and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and SPC/SQC tools and techniques
  • A working knowledge of OSGH, GMP, and FDA regulations and guidelines
  • Proficiency with PCs, including Microsoft Office and JD Edwards
  • Understands preventative and operator basic care maintenance and their applications
  • Flexibility in schedule.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in team environment with diverse group of personalities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in a high paced working environment.

Responsibilities
