Production Supervisor - 12 Hour Shift
About The Position
Plastipak Production Shift Supervisors are responsible for overall production operations across the site on the night shift. They assure smooth and efficient performance within and across the production floor, providing supervision, guidance, and assistance to Production Technicians. The role involves ensuring efficient bottle and container production, ensuring products meet customer specified requirements, and promoting a strong safety culture by leading by example and ensuring team members practice safe work habits. Responsibilities include coordinating work assignments and training, providing coaching and guidance to Technicians, reporting on the effectiveness and performance of production activities to the production manager, and maintaining a continued focus on shifts’ overall performance (safety, quality, reliability, and scrap progress towards goals). The role also involves recommending and initiating improvements, and resolving machinery and quality problems in the production area by working with Maintenance, as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience with solid people leadership abilities.
- A minimum of 3 years of manufacturing production or maintenance experience.
- Able to communicate in a positive and effective manner, both written & verbal.
- Previous experience using an ERP system.
- Ability to utilize Excel to record information & compile reports.
- Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to use basic hand tools, such as wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.

- Post-secondary education.
