Roskam Foods produces and packages food products with the goal of consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations for quality, safety, and wholesomeness. To perform assigned daily tasks throughout the site while enforcing GMP, Food Safety standards, and HACCP Critical Control Points. The shift supervisor shall communicate directly with all departments in a clear and professional manner any issues that occur during the course of their shift. As the Production Supervisor you: Understand company goals, developing plans and tactics to deliver key performance indicators and operational productivity within his shift. Actively participate in production line capacity analysis to allow for accurate standards Ensure accurate production performance reporting Evaluate processes and procedures and propose improvement ideas Partners with the site maintenance, sanitation, shipping and quality departments for ongoing production needs Leads employee safety and food safety programs driving a solid culture within the department Engages production employees at all levels towards performance, efficiency and continuous improvement. Capture continuous improvement ideas thru open and professional communication with production employees and department peers Identify skills gaps across the team and implement training initiatives to develop employees, build expertise and close gaps Manage and control labor allocation following the established standards, focusing on changeovers, overtime, scheduling and crewing rotations. Manage and control material losses to include waste, scrap, usages, cycles and product overweight Maintain a clean, organized, uncluttered and safe work environment, ready for safety, food safety and customer quality audits Participate on selection processes of new hires for their shift ensuring proper training
