About The Position

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead production employees on the 2nd shift in a food manufacturing environment while driving process improvements, meeting production KPI goals, and fostering a culture centered around safety, quality, cost, and engagement. You will guide daily operations, manage resources, and support an environment that reinforces operational excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 or more years of supervisory experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and plant safety standards.
  • Familiarity with SAP and manufacturing processes.
  • Willing to work weekends and flexible hours based on the needs of the operation.
  • Self motivated work approach with a strong work ethic and proven record leading teams and managing multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science, Agricultural Sciences, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in food processing preferred.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt, TPM).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple production lines within the cell to maintain expectations for quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Train and develop team members to support effective performance of job responsibilities.
  • Support sanitation operations to help maintain a clean and food safe facility.
  • Enforce plant rules, regulations, and procedures on a consistent basis.
  • Review team performance and provide coaching to support improvement and development.
  • Promote compliance with safety programs, including lock out/tag out, personal protective equipment, and confined space guidelines.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks while promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all quality and regulatory standards, specifications, and policies are maintained or exceeded.
  • Lead projects involving root cause analysis and guide Kaizen events to support sustainable process improvements.
