About The Position

Mucci Farms is a leader in the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) industry, specializing in greenhouse-grown produce with a strong commitment to sustainability, innovation, and quality. We’re currently looking for Production Supervisor for our day shift. The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading all repack operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production. This role oversees safety, production scheduling, resource allocation, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer specifications, optimize yields, and minimize waste.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in production related environment; Produce and Food industry experience is considered an asset
  • Strong MS Excel and MS Outlook skills is required
  • Must have strong time management skills with emphasis on meeting deadlines
  • Proven ability to build and maintain a positive cohesive team, leading direct reports and repack/ production employees
  • Proven ability to implement change and process improvements
  • Highly energetic and assertive with strong leadership skills
  • Excellent, interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both verbally and written in English
  • Must be willing and able to work either days, afternoon, or midnight shift. It will be a steady shift to be determined
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
  • Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
  • Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time
  • Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F
  • The incumbent will be committed to customer service excellence and leading by example.
  • A positive attitude in the workplace is required as is the ability to adhere to all human resources, operational and food and health safety policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Post Secondary Education in a related field is strongly preferred
  • Experience with payroll execution and software is an asset
  • Knowledge of Famous preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Routinely monitors, verifies, trains and provides direction to production team, including direct reports
  • Coordinate staff to ensure the on-time production and output goods will meet customer specifications, correct quantities, and quality standards
  • Maintains focus on productivity, cost control, efficiencies and production improvements
  • Meet and/or exceed the CPMH (variance to actual)
  • Meet and/or exceed COP targets (variance to actual)
  • Ensures labor and production lines are being scheduled efficiently, accommodating sudden change or needs based on sales/ volumes (constant monitoring of line speeds based on quality and productivity)
  • Ensures compliance with all safety and food safety policies, practices, and procedures. Including CFIA requirements.
  • Promote department-wide culture of teamwork and transparency
  • Problem solves, negotiates, and addresses staff challenges or concerns
  • Any other duties as assigned.
