The Du Quoin, IL facility specializes in low & medium voltage power cables and is seeking a Production Coordinator to supervise and coordinate manufacturing activities during a shift operation, focusing on increasing productivity and reducing manufacturing costs.

  • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience leading a large team in a manufacturing setting highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities of one or more major manufacturing functions on a particular shift operation.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of equipment and manpower to maintain production schedules.
  • Produce a quality product in a safe manner.
  • Coordinate production to meet production control schedules and maintain continuous flow of production.
  • Implement necessary equipment maintenance to ensure continuous production.
  • Plan work and production for the shift using thorough knowledge of the process and equipment.
  • Ensure associates have the needed raw materials, instructions, machine availability, and training.
  • Observe and hold associates accountable for safety adherence, efficiency, production performance, and adherence to procedures to reduce scrap and waste.
  • Evaluate process and work performance of associates and make recommendations.
  • Keep records of attendance, absence, call-ins, and overtime schedule, and accurately approve associate time in ADP.
  • Handle first-step grievances within the assigned shift according to established policy.
  • Support and ensure associates and manufacturing functions adhere to and fully utilize all lean tools, including 6S, Visual Management, RTFT, and Tier Communication.
  • Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by Direct Management.
