About The Position

The Production Supervisor position is responsible for supervising employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. The Production Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and compliance with company safety policies.

High school diploma or GED.
5+ years of experience in a production environment.
2+ years of experience in a production leadership position within the last 7 calendar years (with KCC preferred, elsewhere accepted).
Experience with Microsoft Excel.
Strong familiarity with blueprints, CAD drawings / renderings.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
2+ years of experience as a Welder or CNC I / II operator.
Strong familiarity with Curb and Adapter products.

Responsibilities

Ensure effective relations. Provide coaching and development. Makes recommendations regarding employment decisions. Resolve issues through problem resolution.
Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.
Recognize and mitigate safety hazards in assigned areas.
Investigate quality issues and initiate preventive action.
Perform accident investigations.
Manage department priorities.
Approve team member timecards and track absenteeism.
Designated First Responder to provide aid and assistance with respect to any accidents or injuries in your area. Additionally, as a First Responder and due to the nature of the work in the production area, potential exists for cleaning up blood and other potentially infectious material with provided clean-up kits.
