Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience operating in an industrial, chemical, refinery, warehouse, farming, construction, mechanical, or production environment.
  • Experience using computer systems or tablets for data entry and documentation.
  • Experience operating a forklift.
  • Demonstrated continuous work history (at least 2 years of employment in the past 4 years preferred).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Be at least 18 years or age.
  • Willing to take a drug test.
  • Submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process, as well as additional periodic background checks as required by the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) or regulations adopted by the Department of Homeland Security or other regulatory agencies.
  • Candidates are required to have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • One (4) or more years of experience in the chemical or refinery industries preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily production activities to ensure goals for safety, quality, and output are consistently met.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production operators, fostering a culture of open communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate shift activities, allocate work assignments, and ensure proper staffing across a 24/7 rotating schedule.
  • Enforce all health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring strict compliance with PPE requirements and plant procedures.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by identifying hazards, conducting safety discussions, and supporting incident investigations.
  • Oversee equipment operation and production processes to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
  • Guide operators in troubleshooting process or equipment issues and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Verify that raw materials and finished goods meet chemical and customer specifications.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of production data, shipping/receiving information, and process conditions using computer-based systems.
  • Monitor process parameters and product quality to maintain customer and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in and promote ongoing training, certification programs, and skill-building activities to enhance team capability.
  • Mentor team members to support career progression and strengthen plant operations.
