Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience operating in an industrial, chemical, refinery, warehouse, farming, construction, mechanical, or production environment.
Experience using computer systems or tablets for data entry and documentation.
Experience operating a forklift.
Demonstrated continuous work history (at least 2 years of employment in the past 4 years preferred).
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Be at least 18 years or age.
Willing to take a drug test.
Submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process, as well as additional periodic background checks as required by the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) or regulations adopted by the Department of Homeland Security or other regulatory agencies.
Candidates are required to have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

One (4) or more years of experience in the chemical or refinery industries preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily production activities to ensure goals for safety, quality, and output are consistently met.
Lead, coach, and develop production operators, fostering a culture of open communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Coordinate shift activities, allocate work assignments, and ensure proper staffing across a 24/7 rotating schedule.
Enforce all health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring strict compliance with PPE requirements and plant procedures.
Promote a proactive safety culture by identifying hazards, conducting safety discussions, and supporting incident investigations.
Oversee equipment operation and production processes to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
Guide operators in troubleshooting process or equipment issues and escalate concerns as needed.
Verify that raw materials and finished goods meet chemical and customer specifications.
Ensure accurate documentation of production data, shipping/receiving information, and process conditions using computer-based systems.
Monitor process parameters and product quality to maintain customer and regulatory standards.
Participate in and promote ongoing training, certification programs, and skill-building activities to enhance team capability.
Mentor team members to support career progression and strengthen plant operations.
