Requirements

  • 3 or more years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • 3 or more years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in maintenance, manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience implementing behavior-based safety programs preferred.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methods preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the front-line production team to meet safety, food safety, quality, sanitation, throughput, and cost goals.
  • Schedule daily and weekly production assignments and adjust priorities to support operating needs.
  • Monitor production throughput, quality metrics, and labor variance; provide timely coaching, feedback, counseling, and development.
  • Lead daily team huddles and monthly team meetings to reinforce alignment, productivity, and safety.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate production records and support employee training and evaluation.
  • Review operations, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with Health and Safety to advance safety programs, investigate and report incidents, and address findings with corrective actions.
  • Serve as the on-site safety representative during emergencies and when the manager is off-site.
  • Partner with sanitation to maintain production-department compliance.
  • Use lean manufacturing practices to improve quality, productivity, sanitation, and safety.
  • Support the Production Manager in developing the department operating budget.
  • Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality food that meets company and regulatory requirements, and support ongoing improvement of SQF systems.
