About The Position

We are seeking a results-driven Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations at our Waco, Texas facility. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for driving production performance, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and developing a high-performing team capable of delivering custom trailer projects on schedule. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of welding/fabrication, assembly, or industrial manufacturing processes
  • Proven leadership experience in managing production teams
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and production documents
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines while maintaining quality standards

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in trailer manufacturing, or custom fabrication
  • Lean manufacturing, six sigma, or related certifications/education
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training
  • Experience using ERP or production management software

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and delivery commitments are achieved.
  • Collaborate on and execute production plans, allocating labor, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency and throughput.
  • Monitor production progress and proactively address bottlenecks, delays, and resource constraints.
  • Coordinate workflow between fabrication, welding, assembly, finishing, and shipping departments.
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule while maintaining quality, safety, and cost objectives.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop production employees, leads, and supervisors.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and feedback, and address performance concerns when required.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Promote employee engagement and maintain a positive, respectful work environment.
  • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, observations, and incident investigations.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and consistently follow safe work practices and PPE requirements.
  • Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce workplace hazards and incidents.
  • Ensure all products meet customer specifications, engineering requirements, and company quality standards.
  • Work closely with Quality Control and Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing and quality issues.
  • Monitor quality metrics, rework, and warranty trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and improve overall product consistency.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, labor efficiency, quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving workflow, and increasing productivity.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing principles and the implementation of standardized work processes.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process optimization, and operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Inventory, Project Management, and Shipping teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Ensure production teams have the materials, drawings, tools, and information required to perform work efficiently.
  • Communicate production status, risks, resource requirements, and improvement opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Support implementation of engineering changes and production process improvements.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventative maintenance activities.
  • Ensure tools, machinery, and work areas are maintained in a safe, organized, and operational condition.
  • Support facility improvement projects and equipment upgrades as needed.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organization throughout the facility.
