About The Position

Georgia-Pacific’s Consumer Products division seeks a Performance Leader (Production Supervisor) for our mill in Plattsburgh, New York. A strong Performance Leader enhances shift leader operations employees' capabilities and manages their performance. The leader should understand the mill and be accountable for product system results influenced by team performance. Ideal candidates excel in interpersonal and communication skills, constructively challenge for improvement, stay current on best practices, and effectively collaborate and engage with teams. For over 60 years, the Plattsburgh Paper Mill has been a major part of the economic lifeblood of the region. With approximately 100 employees, Plattsburgh strives to lead the tissue, towel and napkin business. Requirements

Supervisory experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment with responsibility for direct reports.
Experience coaching and mentoring direct reports to improve performance.
Experience leading safety initiatives in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations Management
Experience using Kronos and SAP.
Supervisory experience in a union environment.
Pulp & Paper experience.
