About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing all production-related activities and ensuring they are performed safely while meeting all company safety and environmental requirements. This position works closely with various departments, coordinating manufacturing activities across the plant to ensure products meet specifications and testing is performed routinely.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of required work experience.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment. Participates in safety improvement initiatives and programs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations for the production department.
  • Maintains production schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Responds to employee questions.
  • Work closely with Plant staff on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supervision of employees, planning and assigning work, adjusting schedules to meet production requirements, analyzing and resolving work problems, and inspecting materials to verify conformance with standards.
  • Maintains production records and ensures employees complete records correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Champion pre-shift meetings.
  • Evaluates and trains staff by coaching, administering discipline, training, and development on the job.
  • Provide development opportunities to employees through cross-training initiatives and setting clear objectives.
  • Provides support to maintenance in the troubleshooting, rebuilding, and redesign of manufacturing equipment.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
