About The Position

The Replenishment Swing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing replenishment, putaway, and picking operations during swing shift within the Distribution Center. This role ensures product flow supports daily production goals and customer requirements by coordinating workflow across replenishment and picking functions. The supervisor partners with DC leadership to drive efficiency, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure all areas of production operate effectively during the shift.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Generally, 4+ years’ relevant experience working in a distribution center with least 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role overseeing staff.
  • 3+ years’ inventory control experience in any industry, preferably the Apparel Industry
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrates patience, clear communication, and the ability to adapt training methods to individual learning styles to ensure knowledge retention and operational consistency.
  • Maintains speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment while upholding safety and quality standards.
  • Applies strong analytical skills to identify trends, resolve issues, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Serves as a resource for resolving operational challenges and supports others in identifying practical solutions.
  • Works effectively as a self-motivated, reliable team member with a positive attitude; contributes to building a supportive team culture.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills; able to provide clear direction and exchange information effectively.
  • Remains flexible under pressure and during tight deadlines; able to adjust quickly to new technologies, processes, and priorities.

  • Willing to cross-train in other departments and assist where needed to support overall Distribution Center operations.
  • Consistently punctual and maintains good attendance; completes tasks reliably with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting and kneeling required.
  • Routine standing of up to 8 hours a day
  • Walking up to 10 miles per shift.
  • Can climb ladders, stairs and use a forklift as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred
  • Warehouse/Distribution related experience in apparel/hard goods preferred
  • Experience using Voice/RF equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a collaborative and respectful team culture while promoting professional conduct and accountability across the department.
  • Mentor and develop the department lead to effectively oversee operations and make decisions in the supervisor’s absence.
  • Oversee training, cross-training, and development of team members in partnership with the department lead, ensuring consistent performance and readiness to meet operational goals.
  • Screen and recommend new employees for the department.
  • Assist in setting and monitoring productivity standards in alignment with departmental goals, ensuring labor efficiency and output targets are met.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback to team members.
  • Partner with department manager in writing and delivering yearly employee performance evaluations.
  • Promote cross-training to improve flexibility, reduce labor costs, and ensure operational continuity.
  • Collaborate with DC leadership on temporary staffing needs, including selection and onboarding.
  • Partner with HR and manager on any employee performance related issues.
  • Document departmental business processes and procedures and utilize in staff training, development, and performance counseling.
  • Revise and keep processes current as business processes change.
  • Work with IT department for resolution of system issues and corrections.
  • Assist in waving production orders for both picking and replenishment to support efficient workflow and on-time order fulfillment.
  • Manage replenishment workflows including putaway, restocks, backstock, and pick support to ensure continuous product availability.
  • Monitor and coordinate overall production flow during swing shift, ensuring work is moving efficiently across all operational areas.
  • Assist with down stacking shipping lanes to maintain flow and prevent congestion impacting outbound operations.
  • Identify and help resolve inventory shortages and constraints that may impact picking or shipping performance.
  • Trained and routinely operate and train users on motorized floor jacks, sit-down forklifts, reach trucks and order pickers according to safety guidelines for the entirety of the shift.
  • Ensure that warehouse safety standards are being met as outlined in Tommy Bahama’s Health and Safety Manual.
  • Support warehouse security protocols by providing occasional coverage for security checkpoints.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with warehouse standards.
  • Other duties as assigned to support all areas of the business.
