About The Position

U.S. Pipe and Foundry is seeking a Production Supervisor in Lynchburg, VA. The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising operations while maintaining established quality standards, minimizing operational costs, and driving production performance targets with an emphasis on safe work habits.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
One to three years heavy industrial manufacturing experience.
Good verbal and written communication skills required.
Excellent planning and organizing skills required.
Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Ability to lead and direct workforce, to achieve a technically competent and highly motivated workforce, ensuring all necessary training and development to promote skill development, quality, safety, and compliance are met.

Nice To Haves

Trade or technical certification preferred.
Experience in ductile iron products and foundry experience preferred.
Experience with Union environments a plus.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Production Manager, lead and direct the work of hourly production employees to achieve daily production targets while maintaining a high level of safety and quality.
Manage daily operations, monitor workflows, problem-solve, and implement process improvements to meet production standards and targets.
Provide support and hands on maintenance of mechanical equipment/tooling in partnership with maintenance supervisors to optimize equipment and processes. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with repairs to ensure smooth production.
Champion safety programs, conduct safety audits and reinforce a culture of workplace safety and accountability ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
Work closely with operations/plant leadership to meet key performance indicators (KPIs), continuous improvement initiatives, safety, and quality standards.
