This role is for a 3rd Shift Supervisor (10pm-6am) at the Goodyear, AZ, manufacturing facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree or equivalent experience plus education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of previous experience as a supervisor or manager.
  • Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with participating or leading continuous improvement projects.
  • Ability to solve problems with little direction.
  • Proven ability to work with a team as well as leading a team.
  • Ability to come in early, stay late, or work on the weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe work environment in the assigned department, ensuring employees have received safety training and are properly using safety devices, equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Ensure proper job rotation, good general housekeeping, and adherence to safety policies, work practices, and procedures.
  • Lead accident/incident investigations for all incidents within the department.
  • Track and improve line efficiencies, which may involve process and/or line layout changes and making recommendations to reduce labor and material costs.
  • Ensure product quality and accuracy, and the timely completion of production schedules in established priority sequence.
  • Maintain conformance with rules and regulations, issue verbal and written warnings when required, and recommend approved disciplinary layoffs when necessary.
  • Administer company policies and maintain a pleasant employer/employee relationship.
  • Lead monthly continuous improvement projects.
  • Train, mentor, and develop employees.
  • Maintain the department vacation calendar and resolve vacation conflicts.
  • Manage timekeeping for employees in the department.
  • Conduct monthly departmental meetings covering specified topics.
  • Attend company-sponsored training classes and special classes to stay informed on new developments in management and supervision, and other job-related courses.
