About The Position

Join Tree Top as a Production Supervisor at the Ross Plant in Selah, WA. You'll start on day shift for training, learning the plant's routines, key contacts, and how work moves from planning to finished product. After training for a few months, you'll work onsite on the graveyard shift (10:30 pm–7:00 am). Expect a fast, hands-on pace: you'll review how the prior shift left the area, check where output stands against the plan, and stay visible on the floor. Throughout the night you'll balance staffing needs, respond to equipment or process disruptions, and keep documentation current. Near the end of shift, you'll confirm the line is set up for the next crew and pass along clear notes so nothing gets missed. Our Mission: Learn relentlessly. Compete relentlessly. Role Overview The Production Supervisor leads plant production and maintenance activities for graveyard shift. You are accountable for carrying out the plant production plan, keeping a safe workplace, building a team-focused crew, meeting customer quality and service targets, and improving how the shift runs through clear communication, training, and problem solving.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of food processing experience; prior supervision in food manufacturing preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing concepts, food safety/quality systems, and applicable federal/state/local laws
  • Strong planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills; basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise hourly plant employees; set expectations, coach performance, and follow up
  • Implement the production plan; track production metrics, downtime, and productivity goals
  • Maintain compliance with GMPs, sanitation, HACCP, and FDA/OSHA requirements and plant safety standards
  • Identify and resolve operating issues; support continuous improvement and standard work
  • Coordinate shift communications and deliver on-the-job training as needed
