About The Position

The Production Supervisor supports the Production Manager by overseeing daily manufacturing operations and providing guidance to direct labor team members. This role ensures team members follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards while maintaining an efficient and organized work environment. The Production Supervisor monitors production data, inventory accuracy, and ERP entries to support timely and accurate reporting. This position also collaborates cross-functionally to resolve production issues, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement across the production floor.

  • 3-5 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient computer skills using Outlook, Excel, and ERP system.
  • Forklift experience/certification will be required. Training is available if needed.

  • 2 year or 4-year degree preferred.
  • Netsuite or Oracle experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, support, and guidance to direct labor team members.
  • Oversee the training of direct labor team members through compliance with established work instructions.
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are always followed and the work environment meets safety and Lean standards.
  • Work with team members to ensure good housekeeping practices.
  • Work with engineering and team members to develop safe, efficient, and accessible work processes.
  • Understand ISO policies and quality standards.
  • Work with engineering and quality teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production problems.
  • Minimize waste and cost to the production line.
  • Ensure all team members understand and follow the work instructions.
  • Run analysis on work orders, cycle counts, non-conformance material forms, inventory accuracy, and inspection reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting.
  • Assist with shipping paperwork as needed.
  • Ensure accurate entry of information into ERP including work orders and labor hours.
  • In collaboration with the Procurement Team, ensure the timely order of materials needed to run production and that inventory of raw materials is available to meet customer deadlines.
  • Track multistep processes using MS Office Suite and our ERP system.
  • Generate ideas for continuous improvements to processes, accessibility, and safety.
  • Implement changes in processes and use of equipment to increase efficiency, improve safety and quality, reduce costs, and improve employee morale.
  • Review team member timecards for accuracy before approval.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
