About The Position

The Production Supervisor provides leadership and direction to production associates to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This role is responsible for executing production action plans, resolving systemic issues through corrective actions, and supporting day-to-day line operations to meet quality, service, and cost objectives. The Supervisor plays a key role in fostering a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture on the production floor by coaching employees, facilitating CI tool use, and promoting standard processes. Through strong leadership and team-based problem-solving, the Supervisor works to enhance line stability, reliability, and associate capability while driving results through disciplined execution.

Requirements

  • Requires sound supervisory and organizational skills
  • Ability to accomplish established goals through the efforts of others by motivating, fostering teamwork, resolving conflict, coaching, safety management, production planning and manufacturing control planning.
  • Strong Office 365 experience (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes related to the food or beverage industry.
  • Strong problem solving and follow-up skills
  • Experience leading small projects. i.e. project management
  • Results driven with high personal ownership
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication written/verbal is required

Nice To Haves

  • SAP or manufacturing tracking systems or similar software highly preferred.
  • Associates’ degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for assigned production lines by supervising employees through effective onboarding, communication of job expectations, training, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Actively engage employees in personal and professional development opportunities.
  • Communicate all necessary operational, staffing, and performance information to team members and incoming shift supervisors to ensure smooth shift transitions.
  • Execute departmental action plans and implement corrective actions that address root causes and deliver sustainable solutions.
  • Meet production operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service requirements using MOS, the company’s continuous improvement system.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve production issues while proactively driving process improvements.
  • Foster a collaborative and cooperative work environment within the department and across cross-functional teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, cost control, and customer service.
  • Ensure production priorities are met by adhering to weekly production schedules and managing daily operational requirements.
  • Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, monitoring workflow, establishing priorities, revising schedules as needed, and resolving operational challenges.
  • Accurately complete payroll and related administrative requirements in a timely manner.
  • Track and record production results by completing daily shift production reports and calculating performance in alignment with TMOS standard work.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
  • Ensure departmental work practices comply with food safety standards, employee safety requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Communicate regularly with peers and cross-functional partners; actively participate in problem-solving efforts and project-based teamwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
