As a Production Supervisor, you are the vital link between strategic goals and daily execution. You'll be leading a dedicated hourly team, fostering an environment where they can do their best work and feel empowered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 3–7+ years of supervisory, manufacturing, military, or other relevant experience
  • Ability to work rotating shifts/hours, including nights and weekends
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodology and / or Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) Experience

Responsibilities

  • Act as a champion of workplace safety, proactively enforcing regulations and fostering a culture of vigilance
  • Lead and direct a team of employees that consistently makes high-quality products and meets or exceeds production targets
  • Take ownership of team performance, addressing shortcomings proactively and celebrating successes
  • Prioritize critical tasks and effectively allocate human resources to maximize efficiency
  • Apply for a "Bias for Action," promptly and decisively addressing safety and quality issues to prevent larger problems
  • Identify and analyze problems, develop and implement effective solutions, make timely and well-informed decisions, and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Embrace a servant leadership style, focusing on building high performing, winning teams and investing in their growth
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating your team to achieve shared goals
  • Utilize data and insights to strike down downtime and quality defects, driving quantifiable improvements in efficiency and quality
  • Meticulously track and report employee time and attendance, transforming raw data into actionable intelligence for strategic decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Maintain a relentless focus on identifying and eliminating inefficiencies, improving processes, and driving innovation to enhance productivity, quality, and safety
  • Be uncompromisingly committed to quality, implementing and maintaining rigorous standards, and relentlessly pursuing excellence to eliminate defects and ensure exceptional product quality
  • Proactively address and mediate conflicts fairly and effectively, facilitating mutually acceptable solutions
  • Build and maintain strong, positive working relationships with your team and all partners, including suppliers and union representatives, through transparent communication and a willingness to listen, fostering a psychologically safe environment
  • Champion accountability, managing both your own performance and that of the hourly workforce regarding processes and standards
  • Ensure accountability, play fair, and meet conflict with decisive action
  • Actively listen to and value the perspectives of all team members and other department stakeholders
  • Be a partner with team members, the union, and management to continuously improve everything
