About The Position

Manages the tasks and procedures of production personnel to ensure roll forming lines are operating correctly. Provides general direction to personnel regarding manufacturing techniques, safety, quality, production, housekeeping, tooling, staffing, and company policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in roll forming or metal stamping
  • Knowledgeable of OSHA standards in metal stamping and mechanical power presses.
  • Ability to work with and communicate (verbal and written) effectively within all levels of the organization
  • Must be computer literate and proficient with Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to self-motivate, problem-solve, and work in a dynamic environment
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong solution-oriented approach, capability to implement, and persistence in follow-up activities to ensure sustainability and quality

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage, coach, train, and administer corrective actions of employees.
  • Monitor production and quality attainment through daily production and quality reports, substandard production, or quality issues.
  • Enforce all safety procedures as set by management. Follow and enforce these policies in the manufacturing plant and all departments, including, but not limited to, wearing correct PPE, lockout/tagout, job safety analysis, and safe set-up procedures.
  • Investigate and correct any activities that fall below established standards, and establish a long-term corrective action plan when immediate correction is not possible.
  • Active participation in production and scheduling meetings, setting and maintaining goals for production lines, and being responsible for the shift's achievement of these goals.
  • Manage the completion of paperwork required in the position, including maintenance work orders, daily job assignment sheets, area safety analyses, tooling work orders, vacation schedules, and any other paperwork needed.
  • Initiate and follow through on new ideas to improve their department in continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned, including projects or assignments to support the plant.
