Join JAMES ROCKWELL's team on 3RD Shift working Monday - Friday 11:00PM – 7:00AM as a Production Supervisor in Schenectady and help build a more sustainable future.

Requirements

High School Diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or Business Administration. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Willing to work 11:00PM - 7:00AM Monday – Friday.
2+ years’ experience in leadership and lean continuous improvement processes in a manufacturing environment.
Leadership and a collaborative spirit that inspire and engage teams to achieve excellence.
Ability to solve problems and prioritize daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent computer skills to include MS365 and SAP or ERP software.

Nice To Haves

Packaging manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Lead and support third-shift production teams to achieve safety, quality, productivity, waste, and cost performance targets.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, eliminate waste, and enhance operational performance.
Monitor production metrics and operating parameters, develop action plans to address performance gaps, and ensure timely follow-through on corrective actions.
Provide coaching, training, and daily direction to employees while fostering engagement, accountability, and teamwork.
Collaborate with Maintenance and Quality teams to troubleshoot equipment and process issues, ensuring reliable operations and consistent product quality.
Conduct routine floor presence and operational audits to identify opportunities for process improvements and sustain best practices.
Ensure accurate shift documentation, production reporting, and communication during shift turnovers.
Manage employee performance through regular feedback, recognition, coaching, and development planning.
Support workforce scheduling, staffing needs, and timekeeping activities to ensure operational continuity.
