Join JAMES ROCKWELL's team on 3RD Shift working Monday - Friday 11:00PM – 7:00AM as a Production Supervisor in Schenectady and help build a more sustainable future.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or Business Administration. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Willing to work 11:00PM - 7:00AM Monday – Friday.
  • 2+ years’ experience in leadership and lean continuous improvement processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership and a collaborative spirit that inspire and engage teams to achieve excellence.
  • Ability to solve problems and prioritize daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent computer skills to include MS365 and SAP or ERP software.

Nice To Haves

  • Packaging manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and support third-shift production teams to achieve safety, quality, productivity, waste, and cost performance targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, eliminate waste, and enhance operational performance.
  • Monitor production metrics and operating parameters, develop action plans to address performance gaps, and ensure timely follow-through on corrective actions.
  • Provide coaching, training, and daily direction to employees while fostering engagement, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Quality teams to troubleshoot equipment and process issues, ensuring reliable operations and consistent product quality.
  • Conduct routine floor presence and operational audits to identify opportunities for process improvements and sustain best practices.
  • Ensure accurate shift documentation, production reporting, and communication during shift turnovers.
  • Manage employee performance through regular feedback, recognition, coaching, and development planning.
  • Support workforce scheduling, staffing needs, and timekeeping activities to ensure operational continuity.
