About The Position

As a Manufacturing Production Supervisor, you’ll be part of our Mission, TX team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to analyze production plans on a daily basis and coordinate resources to meet objectives and schedules in the production lines. You will develop a work plan by defining priorities and sequences according to resources. You will ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People measures and achievement of goals through continuous improvement. You will support the continuous improvement philosophy driving lean manufacturing principles. You will contribute to the 5S program by performing monthly audits and following up on the implementation of the program in the production lines, setting a 5S mindset. You will ensure equipment and production lines start-ups within required timelines. You will monitor processes and procedures and formulate SOPs and/or other documentation as required. You will examine molded products from each machine to verify conformance to specifications. You will identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements. You will ensure personnel follow the required training regarding processes, procedures or any other that contributes to Quality and EHS Policies. You will provide employees with the required resources to perform their job effectively and safely (personal protective equipment, training, tools, etc.). You will administer and supervise production associates by promoting compliance with Quality, EHS guidelines, Safety procedures and internal work regulations. You will manage the work team, integrate new hires; coordinate production staff, employee rotation and employee movement; evaluate employees’ performance; manage timecards, vacation/sick time and any progressive discipline; ensure compliance with policies and regulations. You will train new employees on how to safely use machinery/equipment and follow procedures. You will enforce safety guidelines and company standards. You will perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. You will maintain a clean and safe work area. Other duties may be assigned to meet the business need.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree equivalent in Engineering discipline preferred.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with relevant exposure to Molding Injection processes preferred.
  • Proven experience as Supervisor or similar role.
  • Must be well organized, able to handle multiple projects and priorities and be adept at information gathering and technical decision making in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to generate and present professional presentations.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP systems
  • Knowledge of Lean Principles
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs Excel and Word, required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001.
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems
  • Ability to assemble and motivate a team.
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
  • Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage change.
