About The Position

We provide full-service contract manufacturing, bottling, and packaging solutions for gummy natural health products, supporting clients from concept through launch. Operating within a regulated manufacturing environment, we are committed to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. The Production Shift Supervisor is responsible for overall shift performance within a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment. This role leads daily execution of the production plan while ensuring safety, quality, and operational targets are achieved. Success in this role is measured through strong operational leadership, accountability, and consistent adherence to GMP and food safety standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of GMP requirements.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Vicinity, Great Plains, or similar).
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily production schedules safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor and achieve shift KPIs including output, yield, labour efficiency, downtime, and scrap.
  • Ensure proper line clearances and changeovers.
  • Identify and resolve recurring production issues.
  • Enforce GMP, SOP, and sanitation standards consistently.
  • Oversee sanitation activities in accordance with 21 CFR Part 111.
  • Ensure batch records, QC checks, and documentation are accurate and complete.
  • Escalate deviations, out-of-specification results, and non-conformances immediately.
  • Set clear expectations for performance and workplace conduct.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action when required.
  • Address attendance and performance concerns proactively.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Investigate downtime events and identify root causes.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Quality teams to prevent recurring issues.
  • Support Lean initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Deliver structured and accurate shift reports.
  • Communicate operational risks early.
  • Ensure effective shift handovers and crew transitions.
  • Supervise and support sanitation activities within assigned areas and shifts to ensure cleaning tasks are completed as required and in compliance with GMP, food safety, and company procedures.
  • Ensure sanitation priorities are communicated clearly to employees.
  • Verify that areas, equipment, moulds, trays, and production spaces are cleaned and ready for use.
  • Escalate any sanitation concerns or incomplete tasks to Production Management.
