We’re looking for an engaging, hands-on Production Supervisor – 1st Shift to lead and support our production teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving our World Class Manufacturing (WCM) goals, with a strong focus on Autonomous Maintenance and continuous improvement. If you’re passionate about 6S, Lean principles, and developing high‑performing teams, this is a great opportunity to make a real impact. Flexibility is important, as you’ll help provide shift coverage for training, vacation, and operational needs. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Frankfort, IN facility on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Prior experience leading or supervising teams in manufacturing operations
  • Applicants for this position must be currently and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, J-1, F-1, CPT, OPT, etc.). Donaldson will not offer immigration sponsorship or assume sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
  • International relocation or remote work arrangements outside of the U.S. will not be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years of manufacturing experience
  • WCM – Autonomous Maintenance experience preferred.
  • Solid computer skills in Microsoft applications with preference for experience in Oracle or Workday programs
  • Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate resources across one or more shifts to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations while promoting a team environment and continuously improving all methods.
  • Review production orders or schedules to ensure the manufacturing of products is completed and scheduled delivery dates are met.
  • Plan and review production operations.
  • Establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Resolve operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays.
  • Utilize the appropriate personnel based on skill sets.
  • Coordinate job bid system for all jobs across the plant.
  • Evaluate, develop and ensure appropriate training processes are completed when employees move to different jobs.
  • Work with safety committee by attending safety meetings, working on safety projects, ensuring all supervisors are supporting safety within their departments, completing safety surveys and performing safety training.
  • Support team leaders in the area of quality assurance ensuring quality requirements and procedures for the department and plant are understood and met within all departments.
  • Develop and maintain operational budget.
