Production Supervisor- 2nd Shift

About The Position

Oversees the production floor to ensure a safe environment, quality of product, and that production rates are met. Ensures proper training, sets clear expectations, and gives constructive feedback to associates. Ensures all schedules and deadlines are achieved. Ensures that all production documentation and transactions are completed daily. Plans, develops, and implements process improvements and enhancements. Communicates and implements changes as directed. Ensures that raw materials and/or waste are disposed of according to policy and procedures. Reports all equipment breakdowns to the Maintenance team, documents, and manages workforce to maximize productivity. Works as a member of a cross-functional team. Ensures associates maintain proper inventory transactions, and correct inventory numbers through cycle counts as necessary. Communicates to Planner/Scheduler regarding production variances. Communicates with Value Stream Manager, Purchasing, and Planner/Scheduler to prevent production disruptions. Maintains proper 5S and Visual Management standards of the production floor. Promotes a safety-oriented culture, takes action in the event of an unsafe situation, and completes all appropriate documentation regarding safety observations, actions, and investigations. Ensures TPM activities are being performed on all equipment/facility according to required frequency. Ensures adherence to all company policies and safety regulations. Performs any other duties as directed by VS Manager and site leadership. Helps supervise overtime shifts as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Minimum of 2-4 years Supervisory experience in a production environment.
  • Work in industrial manufacturing preferred.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Must have the ability to analyze data to make decisions on material/product requirements in the absence of other direction.
  • Must be able to manage multiple activities during the work day and delegate tasks as needed.
  • Must be able to plan to meet deadlines.
  • Able to prioritize and manage a team with a sense of urgency and assertiveness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to promote a positive work environment for under all conditions.
  • An open-minded and innovated self-starter that is eager to learn.
