About The Position

EW Grobbel is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to manage production employees in a fast-paced, high-volume, non-union, manufacturing environment. The supervisor will lead a team to identify and resolve problems or bottlenecks in production processes, with a primary focus on creating an engaged and team-oriented workforce. This is an active position requiring 100% of time to be spent on the plant floor, involving standing, walking, and climbing stairs. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in plant production operations, supervision, employee development, and progressive discipline, with a proven track record of mentorship and team building. The company is looking for someone with an innate understanding of employee motivation who can deliver impactful solutions.

Requirements

5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting required
Proven leadership, persuasive, initiative, analytical, and communications skills are necessary for success in this position
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
English-Spanish bilingual is a bonus

Associates degree preferred
Food safety training will be provided and is not required for employment

Responsibilities

Assist with production goals and communicate the goals to the production staff
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Oversee and coach employees
Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
Check production output according to specifications
Make sure that employees are trained/ cross-trained and understand and follow work instructions
Work on continuous improvement and efficiency of each operation
Enforce safety guidelines and company standards
The position is very hands-on, and supervisors are usually on the plant floor about 100% of the shift
Ability to directly supervise 20+ employees in the manufacturing department
