About The Position

NOVO Health Services offers linen management solutions to the healthcare industry, with a keen focus on safety and infection control. They provide partner hospitals with a value-driven linen management control system that measures and monitors linen utilization to eliminate excess internal costs. NOVO's regional healthcare linen facilities are HLAC accredited and operate with state-of-the-art processing equipment and processes. NOVO Health Services is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily plant operations and drive performance across safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of 20–60 production associates (including full-time and temporary staff), ensuring efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, and consistent service delivery to healthcare partners. The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, develops teams, and drives operational excellence. NOVO Health Services is the only "one stop shop" service provider in the U.S. currently serving all healthcare-related end markets with both Healthcare Laundry Services as well as Sterilized Reusable Surgical Solutions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial environment
  • Experience leading hourly teams in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills with willingness to learn new systems
  • Proven ability to drive productivity and hold teams accountable
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lead in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Positive, proactive leadership style with a “can-do” attitude
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback and adapting to change
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, and pull for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to work in a noisy, industrial environment
  • Willingness to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education or training preferred
  • Experience in industrial laundry, healthcare, or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of production equipment and workflow optimization
  • Experience analyzing performance data to improve operations and reduce costs

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
  • Schedule staffing to meet production demands and optimize labor efficiency
  • Oversee soil sorting, washing, drying, and finishing processes to ensure productivity and compliance
  • Monitor equipment performance (CBWs, dryers, washer/extractors) to maintain optimal workflow and throughput
  • Partner with chemical and maintenance teams to ensure proper formulas, equipment function, and processing efficiency
  • Identify and proactively address bottlenecks and operational challenges
  • Supervise, coach, and develop production associates to drive engagement and accountability
  • Train employees on equipment operation, safety protocols, and standard work procedures
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture with open communication and strong employee relations
  • Provide performance feedback and support continuous development of team members
  • Enforce all safety policies and procedures in alignment with OSHA and NOVO standards
  • Lead safety meetings and promote a strong safety-first culture
  • Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to ensure a safe work environment
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of all equipment
  • Uphold quality standards to meet customer and regulatory requirements
  • Track and analyze production, safety, and labor metrics
  • Maintain accurate records for productivity, attendance, incidents, and corrective actions
  • Support audits, compliance initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Prepare schedules, reports, and operational documentation
  • Assist with inventory, purchasing, and budget-related activities
  • Support Business Manager with plant initiatives and special projects
  • Step in as needed to support production operations
