Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in mechanical or related repair disciplines
  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, production, repair, or refurbishment environments
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and production demands
  • Strong communication and team-building skills
  • Basic computer skills for production tracking and documentation
  • Ability to work in a physically active production environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with medical equipment refurbishment
  • Technical or vocational training in mechanical or electromechanical disciplines
  • Knowledge of motors, actuators, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical assemblies
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or 5S practices

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production activities and assign work based on priorities and schedules.
  • Motivate, coach, and develop team members to maximize performance.
  • Conduct training and provide ongoing feedback to support employee growth.
  • Oversee equipment teardown, inspection, repair, refurbishment, and reassembly.
  • Ensure production targets are met while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to keep operations flowing efficiently.
  • Monitor in-process and final inspections.
  • Verify all completed units meet safety, functionality, and cosmetic requirements before release.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the production process.
  • Partner with inventory, maintenance, and operations teams.
  • Ensure parts and materials are available to support production schedules.
  • Communicate production status, staffing needs, and performance updates to leadership.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Enforce safety policies, PPE requirements, and 5S standards.
