Production Supervisor (Nigh Shift)
About The Position
The Production Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision and performance management to the Day Shift. This role is accountable for delivering the operations plan and assigned items within the shift plan. The supervisor will identify improvement opportunities, proactively manage constraints, and ensure desired results are delivered daily. They will also identify maintenance needs, initiate work requests, lead quality meetings, and ensure all compliance activities for their shift are completed. A key responsibility is accountability for unit and personnel safety on their shift and the safe execution of all work. The supervisor assigns work, establishes goals, and holds the team accountable for Safety, Quality, and output. They work closely with other managers, supervisors, leads, and employees to support company, employee, and customer objectives, committing the team to deliverable performance standards. Additionally, the role focuses on creating a positive work environment and supporting other department needs to foster overall teamwork.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Experience with production processes, workflow optimization, and quality control standards
- Experience with production scheduling, inventory control, and operational reporting
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Understanding of production operations, workflow efficiency, and quality standards
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety practices, and compliance requirements
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, production schedules, and technical documentation
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including production tracking systems, spreadsheets, email, and database tools
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and multiple levels of the organization
- Demonstrates strong leadership and accountability
- Ability to lead, train, coach, and motivate employees to meet performance expectations

Nice To Haves
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing setting
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Understanding of data mining techniques within ERP systems, and use of Microsoft excel and other database programs to support the analysis needed to accomplish continuous improvement activities
